Some reasons why women shy to discuss about the vagina

Bahkan perempuan di negara maju pun masih belum memiliki pengetahuan mendalam mengenai kesehatan reproduksinya. Sama seperti di Indonesia, pembicaraan mengenai hal ini masih dianggap tabu.

 Sebuah survei yang diikuti oleh 1.607 perempuan usia 14-35 tahun di Amerika dan Canada, menunjukkan fakta menarik tentang reproduksi. Lebih dari 56 persen mengasosiasikan kesehatan vagina dengan seks, dan hanya 2 dari 5 perempuan (43 persen) mengaitkan hal tersebut dengan kehamilan atau kesuburan. Sebanyak 27 persen perempuan mengaku tidak tahu apa yang sedang terjadi ketika mendapatkan haid pertamanya, dan 37 persen yakin bahwa tampon bisa “hilang” di dalam vagina.
